Ask First, Please.

Ask First, Please., originally uploaded by Katie L. Thompson.

That Vice internet tv channel took one of my A Sides photos without asking and used it in a montage before one of their features. I am both flattered and upset; I was not expecting someone as important as Vice to steal my work. I emailed them and told them if they liked my work then they should offer me a job.

i would have told them that they stole it and usually people get sued for shit like that. and then insisted that they offer me a job or pay me for said photo. or something. but stealing isnt cool.

that's one of the things with digital picture taking, the internet is pretty much free source. unless your pictures have a water stamp, anyone can take it and use it for anything they want to.
